Volunteering
If you are a fisherman and you catch a salmon, you can participate in this project by:
- Collecting scales, for analysis of the age and life cycle of the fish;
- Collecting a tissue sample from the adipose fin for future analysis of the genetic profile of the fish.
Sharing any information related to the salmon is an important contribution to increase the existent knowledge about this species and, thus, contribute to its conservation. Contact us if you have information on catches, sightings, passage, accumulation areas, etc.
You can also participate as a volunteer in our work, learning first-hand about the fieldwork carried out, as well as about the ecosystems that are home to this iconic species of our rivers.
